Survival Guide
(Aka guidelines to avoid self-destructing your artist shop)
Welcome to the Superfan Survival Guide, a guide full of wisdom (and a little common sense) to help your journey through Superfan run smoothly.
We don’t want to limit your creativity, but rather avoid minor accidents such as burning down the server with stolen fanart or posting a design with a random name like “asdfgh123FINALv6.”
Survival Guide’s Regulations
- As an artist, you agree to upload designs or fan art of your own (made by yourself).
- To make it easier for users to find your designs and artist shop, you should follow the steps outlined in our Guide To Uploading Your Designs correctly. For instance, write the names of the designs as explained, categorize them, tag them correctly, etc.
- Uploaded designs must fit into at least one of the existing categories on Superfan.
- Designs that are copies of already existing ones are not allowed, nor are designs that are very similar or repeated. Let’s look at some examples:
- We accept one design variation: one for use on dark garments and another for use on light garments. For example, when a design has one version of the text in white and another in black.
- We do not allow designs that are the same drawing or illustration with different text in each design, or the same drawing or illustration in many color variations.
- Designs that are too similar to each other will not be accepted. This is to encourage creativity and give Superfan users more variety to choose from.
- Designs that contain content inciting hatred, violence, terrorism, racism, drug use, non-artistic pornography, or similar themes are not permitted. The inappropriate use of images of minors, defamatory content, and discriminatory content of any kind is also prohibited.
- Designs that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, including registered trademarks and official logos, are also not permitted. For example, sports team logos such as the Real Madrid crest are not allowed.
- If you would like to learn more about our copyright and intellectual property policies, you can access them here.
Handling procedures according to the Survival Guide
Our team will review the technical and creative quality standards, as well as ensure that all the guidelines described in this article are followed, and reserves the right to remove designs that have already been uploaded without prior notice. The ultimate goal is to maintain a standard of quality for Superfan users and encourage creativity.
In addition, our team may modify the name of the design that appears on the website without prior notice whenever it deems it appropriate in order to comply with regulations.
If there are repeated incidents regarding compliance with the guidelines, we reserve the right to permanently cancel your account and prohibit access to our platform.
Additionally, if a design has not had a single sale on the platform within two years, we reserve the right to remove it to make room for new designs and encourage creative rotation.
